Melting Glaciers

MILAN, Italy (Reuters) – The world’s glaciers could melt within a century if global warming accelerates, leaving billions of people short of water and some islanders without a home, environmentalists said.

Some say it is the end of the world.

I’ve thought that if an alien species were watching the planet and observing the behavior of human beings surely they would wonder why the majority of humans tolerated the mis-use and ill-advised government of a minority? That this majority allowed their planet to be gradually degraded to a point that their continued survival as a species was in doubt? It is funny to think that we humans think of ourselves as rational.
