Speak out but be prepared to suffer

Since the build-up towards war started I've been amazed by the number of people who are opposed to it. I'm not just talking about the people with my general world view. I'm not even talking about folks who identify as democrat or liberal. It was obvious to me that Bush was going against the tide of popular opinion. Given that, it is frightening to consider the effect of a pro-war media which did the bidding of the U.S. government.

Americans Pay Price for Speaking Out:

Across the United States, hundreds of Americans have been arrested for protesting the war. The American Civil Liberties Union has documented more than 300 allegations of wrongful arrest and police brutality from demonstrators at anti-war rallies in Washington and New York.
