@ner3y I was raised Catholic, half-assed Catholic in that it was far from a focus in daily life. Went off to college and took a comparative world religion class which basically set me off Christianity. I searched around for a couple decades exploring and just sort of settling into agnosticism followed by athiesm.
What I am comfortable with is that there is a cosmos that my tiny little human animal brain glimpses for a fleeting moment.
In general it seems religion/faith serves a social purpose that evolves over time. As an atheist I observe it now from a sort of sociological perspective. I find it interesting though often frustrating or even alarming to observe in terms of the potential impacts on society.
