Panther Part 2

Neat. TextEdit will now save into the Microsoft word format… and it also uses the new font panel that creates beautifully smooth drop shadows. Of course the font panel does much more than this and has been greatly improved over the last version. I’ll try to post more notes about these two apps later.

Panther also works flawlessly in a windows environment and makes it easier than Jaguar to use a windows network. That’s saying alot because I didn’t see how it could be easier. Overall the new Finder is just amazing.

Preview is leaps and bounds better than the last version and I think I’ll definitely be using it instead of Acrobat Reader for pdfs.

Built in faxing will also be great for some and damn, it’s about time!! Fax software for Macs has been limited and notoriously buggy.

Expose is damn cool and super smooth. Folks are gonna love it.

Panther will be available on October 24th, 8pm. Yeah!
